Social Armor in Item Shop: Unlock fee?

So there is a quote to buy it and a quote to unlock social armor.


What does 'unlock' do?

I would assume that is the account wide option finally being introduced.

Still some official explanation would be nice, since the shop has a "no refund" philosophy.

Looking at the price difference 50/63, it might also be that the unlock would be an unlimited claim item.
In this case it should be 37/50 and not 50/63...but i guess learning is not easy
@ Funcom: Your items are too expensive, considering the amount of inventory space we have!!! Making them per default claimable is the way too go, while making onetime items cheaper...not the other way around!
For accountwide, the ratio would be quite nice though. Still not every vanity piece seems "unlockable". Against the accountable option speaks, that the bank space contracts are not "unlockable" for example. Another example are bundles like "Mariques bitchmage set"...

So no word on this? I saw that it "unlocked" for all toons but I'm not willing to try and see if this is a permanent claim or just one of each for every toon.

I bought two Unlocks yesterday. It opened the social items up account wide.
