I was reading something on the EU forums about why Fury might be dead and I noticed some answers in support of Fury mentioned "Kesh Duel Pits" and that got me to thinking (Dangerous... I know)

I do not understand is why everyone wants to duel in Kesh..so many guards...why not pick some where there aren't guards, bust still have a rez pad nearby...FotD, Northern Grasslands, E Mtns...seems too many guard huggers want to duel where there are a lot of Guards handy for when they get low on health or are DoT'd ... Just wondering...something to think on...

Oh...and in reality, there are NO "duel pits" on Kesh

You have a missconception of duels in Khesh. Kheshatta is where people gathered because it's historicly the place where all level 75 to 80 gathered up to quest or go BRC and therefore give PvP material. It was the zone players wanted to "contrôle" for the PL spots and the passage to BRC. Lots of figthing took place here more than in any other zones.
It's a five year old habit, you won't change it easily and guards have nothing to do with it.

The immense majority of players duelling will never run to guards during a duel unless they are attacked by a ganker while duelling or watching duels. Guards are a problem for spontaneous fighting not for consensual fighting (duels).

add a pvp open world duel arena..dont block other players to watch it.. so ppl stop dueling on khes than

The best place to duel is that little Black Dragon medic area in Noble District. When you enter the zone, you follow along a path up, and turn right into the base of the Black Dragon. Behind the main building is a great dueling area, a res pad 10m away and no guards. The closest guards are at the entrance to the building. It truly is the best "duel pit". i like kesh duel pit, u guys just need to learn how to lvl to 16, go afk and get PLed to 80 on deathwish. that is all.
