I know the gold spammers do delete and recreate their toons which makes it hard for the ignore button to work effectively.

But we also know the sites that spam us daylong in AoC. This is not as easy to change the website than the in game name. Why not have a script to filter all messages that contain eitheir their site so they are not displayed? If you do not want to do that at server side, why not add a customizable "filter" at client side?

FC is physiologically unable to deal with spammers, despite the extremely simple solution of banning global chat access in tutorial (or selling gold ingame themselves or a million other ideas). A suspicious player might even begin to think they don't ****ing care. But that'd just be paranoia, surely.

Isn't that one of the reasons they deleted global chats in TSW? :-)
