Thread: maximise cash shop start selling gold and crafted weapons

Default maximise cash shop start selling gold and crafted weapons

@ funcom why don't you slap down all these private websites that are selling gold and crafted purple weapons and just sell them yourself in your already up and running cash shop?

-At the moment one can buy a Feather of Ibis for €75 and T3 crafted weapons €325 and 100 gold for €12 (might be cheaper but i know these prices are from a site still running and selling today)

(don't link any sites guys or post will get deleted)

The point is people do buy from these websites even €300+ for weapons you can't stop them BUT what you can do is sell them in your shop and put the money towards pvp development or whatever

(some of you guys will fire back saying noway thats lame please funcom don't sell these in the shop....Well wake up players have been buying these since more or less launch!! alot of missed money for funcom development)

If they did that the game would be officially pay2win.

You 2 dont get it or your just blind to the fact that with a quick google search one can buy GOLD and CRAFTED weapons from private websites and alot have and still do
(these kinda players WILL search and buy crafted and gold nothing can stop them)
now it would be much better if that money went to funcom for development

Still, you forget a few things:

    - These third party websites are a shady business and hold a certain risk
    - The people who buy now from them will still buy from them AND get more money from the cash shop
    - If you legalize it, the "effect" will be even worse
    - funcom has to weigh the risk of getting "some" money from unserious business against the loss of players due to this "effect" (not that they have much a reputation to loose here, though, but less players are less money, too)
    - if they would sell gold themselves, someone who got the money from a goldseller website could claim they got it officially
    - how will entering a contest with criminals be a "slapdown"? Unless they offer gold for such a low price of funcom points, it would become effectevily worthless ingame.

Small changes to the gamesystem and gold selling and power item sales would get a lot more unattractive and uncommon.

Also, they can't even put up simple things already in game structured to the shop...how do you think they could handle this?

What they could do...would be offering small chests (including random items, gold and tokens) equalling one day of grind with a cooldown (like once per week). But that would be FAR from offering ibis swords and 100g for 3000 funcom points.

Rather than selling t3 craft or ibis funcom could track these people down and ban them. They are in guilds, and obviously must be officers or leaders, they probably bot a lot too to pay for their shards.

Start logging what accounts trade with these people and you will find their mule accounts really fast.

    Ban. Gone. Problem solved.

Selling stuff in the shop like gold, ibis or T3 craft is the worst suggestion since bori or pvp world bosses. Everyone is entitled to bring something to the table OP. However! The thing you should bring is silence...

    Ridiculous.
    Pvp in AOC is Awesome!

The point is items are difficult to obtain already and funcom cesslessly makes them even harder to obtain by implementing non needed redtape in hopes to "glorify" these items that should be given to us for free in the first place

If you dont see what's the problem then there is really no point discussing with you, "only gold and crafted items" means the point, you would negate the point why should ppl play this game.

Pay to win is the worst thing ever happening in the world of video games, its a cancer, and "players" like you are that cancer. Look what happened in Diablo 3 with its real money auction house, its a Fiasco 3, the game is dead only botters and credit card warriors left there, no real players play it because there is absolutely no point to do so! The game is spoiled, ****ed up totally.

Your suggestion would be a final nail in the coffin, all real players would leave the game.

There are much better ways for FC to earn their money and not break the game, your suggestion is not!
