Default So what's gaute doing now?

Before that IGN guy, before that guy from Australia we had Gaute as Game Director. So what's he doing now? Gaute is a shrink, and he's advocating that playing computer games is not a problem to society on his blog! He's now working at a Psyciatric center in Norway caring for the criminal insane!

Gaute is both mad and brilliant. Unfortunatelly the credit crunch of 2007 ruined his vision of AoC and he lost it, but I would like to play something with PvP he made.

I wouldn't go as far as insulting the GDs that saved AoC from collapse tho

Interesting and I will be looking for more updates here.

I always wondered what that guy was up to these days, not to mention the details as to what really went down way back then.

Game designer/directer to a shrink!? I didn't expect that one. lol

Gaute was worse than Craig Morrison. He botched Anarchy Online launch too.

Morrison destroyed game, He was good to fix mess from launch, but then he decided to make AoW, Age of Warcraft which ultimately destroyed player base and left few surviving ones to fight against mass grinders

I would love to hear him now talking about Age of Conan. What happened and what he think of it now.

Good thread though. I always wondered where he went after Funcom. I think after he botched AoC his career in the gaming industry was pretty much finished, and he knew it.
