Thread: Make pvp weapons the same power as pve weapons

    Default Make pvp weapons the same power as pve weapons

    So isnt it about time funcom made pvp weapons the same power as pve weapons? why are they so bias towards pve weapons

    This is not a content update or require any great effort to fix i'm sure funcom have the resources

    I suggest this....
    weapon power lvls (DPS)

    pve T1 weapon = pvp lvl2 weapon
    pve T2 weapon = pvp lvl4 weapon
    pve T3 weapon = pvp lvl6 weapon
    pve T3.5 weapon = pvp lvl8 weapon
    pve T4 weapon = pvp lvl10 weapon
    (block so the new pvp weapons only work on players thus not effecting pvers)

    Or second suggestion is keep things the same but block pve weapons on players)

    We need some weapon balance here either make pve and pvp weapons the same power level or block them from being used in different game modes

    PvP weapons are so out of date now!
    The pvp 5 weapon dps is laughable its not been updated for years! new gear stat resistance and AA resistance pushed the pvp 5 wep DPS even lower and the pvp 8 weapon isnt much better

    Yes we know there is unchained minis coming! THIS IS ABOUT PVP VS PVE WEAPON BALANCE (server merg may bring world pvp back + there is still the current mini game sign ups)

    ( also this thread is about pvp/pve weapon balance please try and keep other gear out)

    PVP AND PVP WEAPONS SHOULD BE THE SAME POWER!!! or blocked from the different game modes
    surely that's so simple for anyone to understand? no?

    can't see this thread being very popular cause so many players already use there high dps PVE weapons to PVP with! hell i even see blur gear alts swinging T4 PVE weapon against players

    So upto you funcom do you want to balance pvp/pve weapons or not?

    Well +1 of course, it's perfectly logic that PvP weapons should be as powerful as pve weapons.
    And yes PvE T4 and T3 crafted weapons actually give an advantage in PvP to PvE players over PvP players, which is not logic.

    Anyway this has been discussed and suggested many and many and many and many times... still we don't know when and if Funcom will update PvP gear and weapons.
    Most probbably, they will just release Unchained minigame minis, and in rest of minis PvP gear and weapons will remain the same..
    Retired nab.. once it was Korando (PvP 10 BS), Andromaeda (PvP 10 Sin), Calore (PvP 10 Demo) and minions...

    Is it that simple though? For many classes (if not all of them?) the base weapon damage is what matters the most (crit rating on pvp weapons is actually pretty okay) so pvp weapons would end up being great for pve too.

    its only realistic to hope that crafting revamp allows pvp weapons crafting comparable to t3 crafted weapons & t4, even if they do as you sugest wont change that t3 crafted weapons are still for most classes best ones availabla along side crafted ibis.

    the only real exceptions is the pvp8 & pvp10 shields wich are pretty much on par with t3 crafted ones.

    pvp weapon crafting would hipoteticaly be best solutions allowing players to make their own weapons with the stats they wish.

    for demo necro its beyond doubt t3 crafted staff is best because of protection wich pvp staff doesnt have all it has is stupid amount of mana tap

    t4 weapons dont give any worthwhile pvp stats but the raw dps they provide surpasses both t3 craft+pvp weapons

    that is mostly true for melee classes, especialy bs guard sin, for dt crit rating is more important given vom perk mechanics.

    With how niche PVP is now, I could see adding powerful weapons as minigame rewards. PVP = weapons, PVE = armor.

    It'd be easy enough to implement as part of the new crafting system too. PVP = source of critical component; PVE = source of component that flavors the weapon toward stats, base damage, etc.

    In addition to boosting the pvp weapons base weapon damage for melees, as hinted by kalston (don't know how to tweak caster weapons in a similar way if it is necessary), an obvious tweak to pvp weapons would be IMO to give them some damn constitution.

    Constitution is more useful to dps classes in pvp than in pve yet for most classes only T1-3 pve weapons have any, while higher pvp tiers have none...

    can it be,
    - Dont care
    - Tired of the same pvp/pve weapon imbalance posts cause funcom never listen
    - Happy with the current pvp weapons
    - Not gonna post cause already have high DPS PVE weapon dont want change

    Also for a PVPer the grind to get pvp8 weapon is insane! we are stuck with laughable pvp5 DPS weapon untill lvl8 lvl8!!!! just to get a new tire weapon thats still lower DPS than most PVE weapons

    Totally completely utterly 100% obvious fact that PVE weapons are superior to PVP weapons
    The highest tire pvp weapon doesn't even come close to the highest tire PVE weapon 100% fact!!!

    Why does funcom keep ignoring this? could it be subscribers have access to high lvl PVE dungeons and F2P dont meaning funcom want you to sub for a high power weapon??? no because this problem was here befor game went F2P
    so what can the reason be?? Anyone know the reason why PVE weapons are superior to PVP weapons while being used in PVP game mode? anyone??

    (again yes i know they working on unchained mini games but what about our current charaters,current mini games,current sieges and world pvp after server merg)

    There's already multiple threads speaking against how bad PvP weapons are...

    Recently I checked on what the cost of the PvP 10 Staff and I was blown away by how ludicrous the requirements were for a staff which is worse than the t3 demo staff (probably the worst class staff in the game), 120 mini game badges and 1,500 bori tokens? Wow.

    Not too mention you need PvP 10 to buy such a crap weapon it's obvious to me these are just social weapons that give you something to buy at PvP 10 to justify you playing after hitting 10.
