It isn't because it's only an estimated downtime, nothing about the accual downtime

They can tell the actual time when the servers are back up, those 8 hours are normal hours for maintenance.

Posted back in March:

Actually, since we now have the server announcements for EU and US in the same spot, we will continue to announce the downtimes as we did the one for today and we will also post when the EU and the US servers are available again.

But we will not post when the servers are going down as that information is both available in the announcement as well as on the game launchers with the server status so that should suffice.

To reiterate - we will NOT get 'servers are now down' posts as the downtime has already been anounced in multiple places. we WILL get a 'servers are back up again' post when the downtime is complete.

This has been happening for downtimes for quite a while already.
