    I heard that CPU really doesn't matter all that much in AOC.
    I want to upgrade ram to 8
    ...and get new video card. I am looking at 150-200 euro to spend (just for the card).

    I would like to avoid all that jazzy nvidia 600 series issues :P

    your suggestions?

    Get an AMD card then! HD7870 or HD7850(cheaper) is what's best in that price class if Im not totally off.

    Just remember you're limited to you motherboard compatibility. I think a lot of the AMD cards will be fine, and Nvidia cards are too, but most of the newer cards have features you will not be able to use and will function no better than an older card for the same purpose.

    PCIe 3.0 for example is not supported on your hardware, as well as a number of other features. If you do buy a newer card, then I shouldn't expect it to perform at the Spec it is presented at.

    Just a heads up as many people go back to the manufacturer on these things when it isn't an issue with the card that causes it to fail to meet specifications or play at recommended settings.

    CPU and Motherboard are both factors in that too.

    I'd just pick up a card off ebay like a 260 or something, maybe an 8800, if you can get them fairly clean without spending too much.

    Stats he posted says he has a 260 already.

    High end ATI cards are great, mid range cards don't impress me. If you can handle some crashes get a 660, otherwise ATI best bet. I am still using a 580 and its awesome, love that card.

    Also, cpu does have a tremendous impact on this game, especially in raids where there is a heavy load, like high particle fights such as sabazios/seruah.

    I'd recommend at least 8 GB RAM for this game, if not 16 GB.

    SSD helps alot with loading times for this game, I'd suggest that also.

    CPU matters most in AoC. Any average video card do from 2009, but good CPU is must

    I have an old Pentium 4 CPU on my other PC, and with any video card, it is stable 5-8FPS.

    If you wish to avoid the jazzy 600s Nvidia cards, then you must be warned that latest Radeons and some 500s have the frequent DXGI crash too in this game. I even have crashed on a GTS 450 in Conan, but only once.
    Just stay with your card until the DXGI_error is fixed or buy something latest and "enjoy" it!
    • Remove daily rewards and the raid finder;
    • remove membership bonuses;
    • disable PVE XP for daily challenges;
    • remove WBs forever on Crom;
    • slow down the AA gain;
    • lower the PVP XP gain or remove the streak system;
    • remove AoE looting;
    • add the missing mobs back to Khesh., F. of the Dead, and Eigl. Mount.;
    • fix the 250+ms ping;
    • take the key away from Saddur;
    • revert T3, T3.5 (10.21.15), T4 (10.21.15), and GGG changes;
    • remove energy and add skills (like taunt) back.
