    Default Hallowed Vaults: Stats

    After conq revamp people where talking about the massive wave of twink conq flooding minis and i must say i had the same feeling back then. So when 2013 came around i decided to try and make a quick chart of pug minis, what classes i saw the most and what k/d had most classes.
    With the amount of players leaving minis and being replaced by others statistics aren't always that precise. I decided to only count 12 players per mini only counting the ones that played the most or, when i didn't update charts on the spot, the ones that where the most active in terms of kills and death.

    I forgot to screen some minis i did sometimes but still, most of them are there. I of course didn't count the minis wher other team wasn't full the whole match and stuff like that. I screened most minis winning or losing, farming or getting farmed.
    I had one chart with the composition of the groupes. How many classes per mini. And an other with the total of kills and deaths per classe per mini.

    Last thing: I am a total noob in maths, not my field, i might have completely messed up the stats. So use with caution. It seems about right to me... but well... it's me

    I initially wanted to have charts for all minigames... but quickly only focused on updating one of them, too long and tedious. I focused on HV. I played a 105 HV between 04/01/2013 (4th january) and 03/04/2015 (3rd april).

    These are the toons i played:
    • 1 as Ranger
    • 3 as Conq (PvP 7/8)
    • 9 as Necro (PvP 3)
    • 17 as Barb (PvP 4)
    • 23 as Sin (PvP 6)
    • 52 as HoX (PvP 2/5)

    If i add it all up i get:
    • 158 Assassins ~ 1,5 per mini
    • 110 Barbs ~ 1 per mini
    • 88 Bear Shamans ~ 0.8 per mini
    • 108 Conqs ~ 1 per mini
    • 128 Dark Templars ~ 1,2 per mini
    • 84 Demos ~ 0,8 per mini
    • 80 Guards ~ 0,8 per mini
    • 113 HoX ~ 1,1 per mini
    • 103 Necros ~ 1 per mini
    • 75 Poms ~ 0,7 per mini
    • 157 Rangers ~ 1,5 per mini
    • 56 ToS ~ 0,5 per mini


    Rankings are of course for one of the classe.

    Assassins: Rank 2 in kills - Rank 1 in deaths - Rank 7 in K/D
    • Total Kills : 1172
    • Total Deaths : 1190
    • 158 Assassins ~ 1,5 per mini

    On average sins kill 11,2 players per mini.
    On average one sin kills 7,4 players per mini.
    On average sins die 11,3 times per mini.
    On average one sin dies 7,5 times per mini.

    K/D for one sin: 0.99

    Barbarian: Rank 7 in kills - Rank 5 in deaths - Rank 11 in K/D
    • Total Kills : 538
    • Total Deaths : 647
    • 110 Barbs ~ 1 per mini

    On average barbs kill 5,1 players per mini.
    On average one barb kills 4,9 players per mini.
    On average barbs die 6,2 times per mini.
    On average one barb dies 5,9 times per mini.

    K/D for one barb: 0.83

    Bear Shaman: Rank 12 in kills - Rank 9 in deaths - Rank 12 in K/D
    • Total kills : 273
    • Total Deaths : 436
    • 88 Bear Shamans ~ 0.8 per mini

    On average bears kill 2,5 players per mini.
    On average one bear kills 3,1 player per mini.
    On average bears die 4,2 times per mini.
    On average one bear dies 5 times per mini.

    K/D for one BS 0.62

    Conqueror: Rank 9 in kills - Rank 10 in deaths - Rank 5 in K/D

    • 108 Conqs ~ 1 per mini

    On average conqs kill 3,8 players per mini.
    On average one conq kills 3,7 players per mini.

    On average Templars kill 4,3 players per mini.
    On average one templar kills 3,5 players per mini.

    Demonologist: Rank 4 in kills - Rank 3 in deaths - Rank 6 in K/D

    Necromancer: Rank 1 in kills - Rank 2 in deaths - Rank 3-4 in K/D (ex aequo with guard)

    On average necros kill 8,3 players per mini.

    meh, this means nothing. it depends who is playing each class, a good tos is beast, a bad player on a tos is garbage, same for every class.

    Why bother with the good player vs bad player argument ? It's pointless since you can't really define "good player" and i don't know any "good player" having the 12 classes equally geared, equally mastered and pvping with them equally. This is about average. Good, bad, average players and everyone in between.

    Thx for the effort m8, but averages really dont mean much. I get your idea but for instance you have sin that does 25 kills 10 deaths in one mini and next one you get some noob that goes 5/15. You can pull averages from those numbers but it means little.
    Maybe on much bigger sample than 100 minis we could come to some conclusion,but there are lot of factors that dont show here like gear, pvp lvls, ballance of groups, composition of groups...

    Awesome job man, thanks a ton for doing this. Obviously these stats must be taken with a grain of salt. Its pretty apparent that one baddie can offset the stats but that's the nature of statistics. Not surprised that the DT has the best KD considering they probably have the best damage to mitigation ratio of all classes.

    One other thing to mention is how the kills were achieved. Necros will always have inflated kills because the dots tick and spread etc.

    Conq's is a bit lower than expected tbh

    same lol, i expected conq to be number 3 in kills ( behind necro an sin) im also suprised by how bad the guardians where that played in these games

    A bigger sample would of course precise stuff but honestly i don't believe it would change that much the ratio of the stats here. The classe ratio would, in my opinion, barely change (not counting hox stat that would probably shrink a bit). And the K/D would also not move much.

    And i disagree with it meaning little. It's an overview of PuG minis. Some are balance, some aren't, some players are well geared some are in green gear, some players are good some are bad, some players are pvp 10 some are pvp 0. Overall that's what happens. It would be foolish to believe gear and pvp level is that much and issue. Be it on Crom where most players are geared like cosmonaute or on fury where there's not that many T4 geared players and not that many green geared players either.

    Of course it blurs some disparities and i, for example, don't really recognize my Sin, barb or conq in these stats. But still, it's what happens in a large chunk of the minis i did. When i PvP, despite what i feel, that's what is. Conqs drive my crazy when i'm on hox or sin... but, even if a few times they have insane kills most of the time they don't have that many. I'll add later on the median to stats, had forgot about that one.

    Hey Vehl,

    I think there's a glitch in the death rankings, Guard and DTs are ex aequo at 11-12th place and conq just behind at 10th, then BS is at 9th, am I right ?

    That's the stuff i enjoy reading.
    Very usefull mini-statistic that proves that it's the man who makes the difference , not the character (even in ranger's case)

    Your arithmetics are good , at least i checked numbers on ToS and were accurate , i believe so for the rest , and I a-priori accept them.

    What would be very usefull tho, is the number of Wins per character!
    If this could be added we could get a more clear view of which class determines the victory and which class tends to lose most of the time.

    At a glance, I have small questions. Is using "," denoting a decimal point a French thing? How did you use the numbers to count the ranks, as necros are ranked 1 but has less kills than ranked 2 and 3 classes?

    As the above pointed out, outliers do exist in the form of exceptionally good or bad players. However unless you discredit them from your stats or take exponentially larger sample size they will always blur the picture. Overall it's great to see some stats.
