Then the login to the game is not secure. I´ve just installed wireshark and traced the packets during the login.

Username and password is transmitted in plain text, just try it for yourself.

I´m not an expert at all, but I could easily identify the packet where my name and password were submitted.

hm-m now thats troubling. Perhaps we should have a FC reply here too.

So there is really no point for the account page (https://register.ageofconan.com) to be SSL protected when u can easily track the login information while starting the game, right?

Btw. if u enter https://aocshop.funcom.com/ you will get TSW itemshop, thats weird.

Actually this is not true for those with hacked accounts in 2011 and 2012...
And goldsellers might already have a full database with accounts they can use (which they will probably not tell funcom or you!)

AoC itemshop at http://www.ageofconan.com/itemshop is still unsecured.
