Default [Guide] Level 1 to 20 in a day

    Spoilers!
repost from old thread by Neronitheus, EU

    ===================

Level 20 seems to be the point where a person get to like or dislike the character. Below is a guide that will allow you to come to a decision quickly. Any feedback to improve is welcome, good bad or indifferent.
Note: This is aimed at Priests, Mage and Soldiers but can be adapted for all classes.
    Good luck.

    Level 1 to 5 Shipwrecked

    1. First quest upon landing on Tortage Island is the Shipwrecked Quest. Run up the beach and you'll see Casilda hanging from a post. Right click and accept the quest from her.
    2. She gives you the quest Casilda.
    3. Run back to where you landed on the beach and you'll see Scavenger Tuut.
    4. Kill him and loot the key to complete the quest.
    5. You can run down the beach past Scavenger Tuut and kill the Scavenger Lackeys and the Crocodile Boss for some extra XP, there is also a chest to loot besides the Croc boss (SW along the beach).
    6. Run the opposite way past Kalanthes (he will have a part in your future destiny quests) to the West part of the beach and kill the other crocodiles for more XP.
    7. Return to Casilda and free her. She'll follow you now but she is rather useless.
    8. To your right, left and front past Casilda are small camps with bosses, easy kills good for loot and easy XP. One of them will drop a weapon your class can use. In the left camp is a chest near the back by the ape in the cage.
    9. Continue on down the path to the Pict camp Outskirts, massacring everything in your path. Equip any armour you might get by pressing ‘I' on your keyboard to open your pack and double click the item.
    10. At the gate you'll run into your former Slave Master Saddur and view a short cut scene. Afterwards you'll have to kill him.
    11. The gate looks like a circle with lines through it on your mini map.
    12. Once he's dead continue to the North further into the Pict camp as you have to get the key for the gate.
    13. Literally slaughter everything in the camp as you make your way to the back for good XP. A ways in along the East wall is a Pict Boss (easy) and a chest.
    14. Inside at the very back of the compound are the key protector boss and a bunch of Fha'quth Guardians. Kill all the extra guards for easy XP and loot the Acheronian Chest by right clicking it.
    15. Run back to the gate and open it and enter. You get a new goal to enter Tortage city. If you kill everything in the beginning area you should be a ways into L5.
    16. As you run to Tortage kill all the jungle apes along the way (you are now in Chuck Norris mode). At the end near Tortage there will be an ape king, he hits hard but is easily killable, just make sure you don't agro the apes guarding the chest in the back along with the boss.
    17. Finish killing all the apes, loot the chest at the back and then run across the bridge and click the gate to complete your quest to return Casilda to safety.
    18. Once you click the gate you will have to talk to Casilda then you will be zoned outside Tortage city where you will start to see other players.

    Level 5 to 6

    19. Run down the path stay to the right and head towards the city in the distance, the gate looks like an orange ‘X' on your mini-map. Ignore the silver exclamation marks on your mini-map for now; they just indicate future quest givers.
    20. Talk to Laranga who will give you the task to remove the shackles before you can enter the city.
    21. Run back directly West to Turach who will ask you to obtain 3 stone bricks from the quarry. He will have a floating ‘?' over his head, indicating an NPC needed for the quest continuance.
    22. You'll see a small orange arrow marked on you radar pointing to the North-East corner; follow this path to the quarry killing everything in your path but don't pull too many, these pirates hit hard and you are libel to end up meeting the rez stone at an early age.
    23. Use caution as there is a Bat Demon boss hiding in the quarry that pops out as you loot the bricks, you can't miss then as they glow blue.
    24. Once you have the 3 bricks, run back to Turach who will then remove your shackles.
    25. Return to Laranga at the gate who will give you a quest task letter to give to Tina, the barmaid in the Thirsty Dog Inn (TDI).
    26. Enter the city. Once inside head directly right and enter the TDI.
    27. You'll see Tina off to the left, turn in the letter. She'll ask if you want to meet Nadini at night. For now you are going to do a few day quests so just tell her good night. She will still have a question mark over her head but you will come back later.
    28. Once back in the Inn in daytime, accept the quest from Alyssa Dry Times. Exit the Inn.
    29. On your right accept ‘Treading Lightly' from Sassan.

    31. While here sell and buy any armour or weapons upgrades you may need.

    33. Talk to the Red Hand Sergeant behind you and accept the next part of ‘Dry Times'
    34. Buy Aged Blood belly Ale (about 10 or so) from the Alchemist.
    35. Head right and under the sign just past the Alchemist pit is Sancha, accept ‘Time to Pay'
    36. Head across the bridge past her, directly on your right are the Tortage Pirates, they are back in the alley way.
    37. Kill until you get all the pouches… don't go in to far solo as they spawn really fast!
    38. Just past them up a ramp you'll see Valerius, ‘!' on the mini-map, accept ‘Wisdom through Venom' from him.
    39. Head down to the city, use ‘M' to open your map and notice where the quest goals for the ‘Empty Stalls' are, they are grey ‘X's. Run and grab them (stay to your left as you enter head into the city). The rolling pin on the create between some barrels. The roll of leather is under a pink awning leaning against a box (6,7,8)
    40. Run directly South and you'll find the meat cleaver buried in a box.
    41. Ignore the other quests for now.
    42. Run back and turn in ‘Time to Pay' and ‘Empty Stalls'.
    43. Return to the TDI, you are now going to do some night quest line.
    44. Talk to Tina and request to see Nadini… tell her you'll wait until the sun is set.
    45. Enter the private Destiny strory line by clicking Night – single player. Don't say you'll go now or she'll blow you off, and not in a good way. If you have to sell at night as well, see Butterfly who near the back of the Inn.
    46. Destiny story lines are different depending on your class (basic class – Soldier, Mage, Healer and Rogue). This guide currently focuses on the Soldier, Priest and Mage story line. However, you can adapt it to match your personal quest line.

    Default

Level 12 Letter to the King 1 (Priest/Soldier/Mage)
    170. To get to Arias, take the West gate out of the city and stay on the left path all the way past the bridge. He is standing in the little camp. (If you are a Priest you'd have already done this).
    171. It doesn't matter that this quest is grey or green because the mobs scale to your level.
    172. Talk to Arias, he will send you to find the Slavemaster Shenti-Aku. From Arias' scamp, stay left and follow the path to the mark on your map, follow the ↑ south (make sure you have the quest clicked in your journal).
    173. Keep to the main path and at the end you will see some steps leading up and a door labeled Volcano. Enter.
    174. Head down the stairs to your right and kill the 2 guards. Continue across the bridge, use some caution here as there are lots of mobs that attack in packs… wait for one to path away, and use a lot of double jump forward and back to get the stun/damage/evade buffs.
    175. Kill all the mobs by the tents, I go up the mountain first (up the ladder) and kill all the mobs up here for some extra XP.
    176. At the end camp at the bottom again there are some stairs to the right (sharp turn easy to miss), go down these, killing the mobs on the way and cross the bridge… if you get 3mobs a good strategy is to kill one, run and heal since they don't follow for very long.
    177. TIP: Always let mobs come to you as a melee, agro from a distance as one always comes faster than the others, and this way you'll take a lot less damage.
    178. Keep going up the stairs that wrap around, killing everything, and you'll see a bigger camp with lots of slaves at the top. You'll see the Slavemaster Ashenti-Ku in the middle of the camp with a “?”.
    179. You can choose to kill him or let him live (just by hitting goodbye), either way it will send you back to Arias.
    180. Now is a good time to take advantage of the XP bounty of mobs on top of the Volcano.
    181. Go back down the stairs, and back across the bridge, then wind your way up the Volcano path until you get to a ladder along the stonewall.
    182. You need 10 points in Climbing to scale this (Hit “P”).
    183. When you get to the top of the ladder, just run around all the way to the top of the volcano and kill every mob for easy XP.
    184. Return to Arias.
    185. Run to Tortage after talking to Arias for part V of Letter to the King 1.
    186. Run back to the docks and talk to the Captain for the next part. Redrick is on the far North area of the docks near the canoe to White Sands.
    187. After giving him the letter accept your reward and return to the Inn.

Level 13 to 15 The Awakening 2 Mage.
    188. Talk to Cramaleico again in the TDI.
    189. Return to Mithrelle and talk to her.
    190. Renton is back in town... a few mobs around him are easy kills, once you kill them talk to Renton.
    191. Return to Mithrelle, she's waiting for you in front of the TDI.
    192. Back you go to Renton, who's closer to the harbour this time back in his house.
    193. Once you enter the door go downstairs and kill the Red Hand Guards.
    194. As you enter the next room a Mini Boss spawns, be careful here and just run out if you get too many on you.
    195. Talk to Renton. Unfortunately you'll piss him off, and have to kill him… POA back to the Inn and talk to Cramaleico.
    196. Back to Nadini we go! Talk to Valeria who's in front of Nadini, get your fancy new prizes.
    197. Talk to Nadini again and watch the cut scene. Talk to Nadini again and she will send you back to Arias at his camp.
    198. Chat with Arias, then back to the TDI to talk to Casilda, the whore you rescued when you first washed up onshore. Get a vial of her blood.
    199. You now have to go back to the volcano where you slayed the Slavemaster. Take the left path again as you exit the city, past Mitra temple and Arias, check your compass map. Enter the Volcano door.
    200. Before going up, go back to where the Slavemaster was just to kill all the mobs, good XP.
    201. Head up to the top of the volcano, up the ladder. At the top to the South is an optional Mini Boss so use caution, it is pretty easy to take though.
    202. There is a chest in the tent behind the Mini Boss.
    203. I rest and kill all the mobs on my way up as they are great XP… even the bottom ones (they should have respawned).
    204. Near the very top is a boss mob Proto-Oucha, he's easy to solo but you might want to have a potion ready just in case.
    205. When you reach the boxes you'll see a vial on them, hit “U” to replace this vial with Casilda's blood. There will then be a massive volcano cut scene.
    206. Once done RUN FOR YOUR LIFE back down the mountain and out of the Volcano and head back to Arias at his camp.
    207. Talk to Arias and accept the reward, run back to the TDI. Talk to Cram and return to Daytime, Day – Multiplayer. You should be L15 or close.

    209. Exit the Inn and head to the poor district, the North side of town.
    210. Kill a few Red Hand Sentries guarding the area.
    211. You'll have to kill the Red Hand Inquisitor leader Mini boss.
    212. Once you kill them all a survivor will appear.
    213. Talk to Valeria and then you will have to protect the scared villagers. The best way to handle this is to let Valeria tank and kill the Red Hands that attack the villagers first.
    214. Once done you have to go deeper into the Underhalls to save more villagers. Take the first door to the right as you go down the stairs labeled “Askia”. Kill the Red Hands 1 – 2 at a time and watch out there is a boss walking up and down the hallway.
    215. Once clear talk to the villagers against the wall and send them to the surface. (Note: I believe the villagers have random spawn locations but for the most part they will spawn in the same areas).
    216. Head left and kill 2 more Red Hands and free villager #3. Enter the door named “Sewers”.
    217. There's a croc mini boss in the water and a villager #4 on the other side of the sewer.
    218. Kill your way through to the next room and talk to the last fleeing villager by the door.
    219. Zone out the door into “Sewers”.
    220. Kill a male and female prison guard and get their heads and Raboz' cell key.
    221. Use POA to return to the Inn.
    222. Talk to Belesa and get your reward! Exit the Inn and head back to Nadini.
    223. When you talk to her there will be a cut scene.
    224. You will then have to talk to Arias out side of town for ‘Letter to the King II'.
    225. After this go back to the Inn to talk to Casilda, the whore you rescued when you first washed up onshore. Get a vial of her blood.
    226. You now have to go back to the volcano where you slayed the Slavemaster. Take the left path again as you exit the city, past Mitra temple and Arias, check your compass map. Enter the Volcano door.
    227. Head up to the top of the volcano, up the ladder. At the top to the South is an optional Mini Boss so use caution, it is pretty easy to take though.
    228. There is a chest in the tent behind the Mini Boss.
    229. I rest and kill all the mobs on my way up as they are great XP… even the bottom ones (they should have respawned).
    230. Near the very top is a boss mob Proto-Oucha, he's easy to solo but you might want to have a potion ready just in case.
    231. When you reach the boxes you'll see a vial on them, hit “U” to replace this vial with Casilda's blood. There will then be a massive volcano cut scene.
    232. Once done RUN FOR YOUR LIFE back down the mountain and out of the Volcano and head back to Arias at his camp.
    233. Talk to Arias and accept the reward, run back to the TDI. Talk to Belesa and return to Daytime, Day – Multiplayer. You should be L15 or close.

    234. Talk to Sigurd again to pick up The Awakening II.
    235. Exit the city and stay to the left until you get to the Mitra Temple (the building Ninus stands in front of). Go around to the back and enter the wine cellar.
    236. Stay to the left and head towards the back killing every mob you can, they are great XP.
    237. You will see a door labeled Keep Dungeons, enter and kill your way towards the “X” on your mini-map.
    238. You should also find the male and female prison guards and key in here for ‘ThePrisoner's Revenge' and ‘Gone with the Wine'. Try to only get 2 on you at once.
    239. Head down the ramp near the back (there are 2 ramps that descend into the sewer, he is on the far West side) and you'll see Tangerra, talk to him. He will send you back to the harbour.
    240. Use PoA to return to the Inn. Exit the Inn and run to the South end of the harbour, there you will find a door to the warehouse (follow the ↑ on mini-map).
    241. Once you enter there will be a small cut scene and Quezada will run away… kill all the Red Hand Guards as they come until you can leave the warehouse.
    242. When he runs to the top of the stairs you'll “catch” him and have to kill him, be careful here or you'll get way too many mobs on you.
    243. Once you kill him Valeria will appear, talk to her and next stop is the Inn to talk to Sigurd. He'll give you some good rewards then send you off to talk to Nadini.
    244. As you may recall, Nadini is on the South end of town, up some stairs to your right… it's marked on the mini-map. After a big cut scene Nadini will send you back to Arias for ‘Letter to the King II'. He was in the camp outside town near the Mitra temple.
    245. Take a left as you exit town and run up the path to him. He will send you back to the Thirsty Dog Inn to talk to Casilda, the whore you rescued on your first quest. Use POA to return quickly if it's up.
    246. Talk to Casilda and get her blood. Now you are going to have to go back to the Volcano from previous quests and climb back to the top.
    247. Take the left path again as you exit the city, past Mitra temple and Arias, check your compass map. Enter the Volcano door.
    248. Head up to the top of the volcano, up the ladder. At the top to the south is an optional mini boss so use caution, it is pretty easy to take though.
    249. There is a chest in the tent behind the mini boss.
    250. I rest and kill all the mobs on my way up as they are great XP.
    251. Near the very top is a boss mob Paro-Oucha, he's easy to solo but you might want to have a potion ready just in case.
    252. When you reach the boxes you'll see a vial on them, hit “U” to replace this vial with Casilda's blood. There will then be a massive volcano cut scene. Once done RUN FOR YOUR LIFE back down the mountain and out of the Volcano and head back to Arias at his camp.

    260. Head down the stairs, kill Picts on the way, to your left you'll see a stone ladder (indicated by a glowing circle) on the side of the wall, go up to it and hit “U” to climb down the side of the wall.

    278. Return to the Acheronian Ruins, go down ladder and talk to Genzio for ‘Caught In Shadows'.
    279. Travel over to the Pict Huts.
    280. Attack 5 Pict huts, and while doing this head up to your right and you'll see an alter in the middle of the Pict huts; this is where the Elder Shaman Mini Boss spawns. He's solo-able easily just be careful to trim down the mobs around him first.
    281. Once you have destroyed all 5 huts and killed the Shaman, run up to the ghouls.
    282. Head North through the Pict camp until you get to the ghouls (will be a path to your right).
    283. Cross the lava over the wooden bridge and continue North until you get to a big pedestal area.
    284. Up here is a boss, pretty easy at 16 but he spawns minions. Finish him off then light the bodies on fire that are around the altar in the middle.
    285. Go up the stairs and suicide off to get back faster.
    286. Run back to Ninus.
    287. Hand in Unholy Magic the quest to Ortho, you should be very close to 17 now, accept Remains of a Bygone Age from him.

    295. Run to the North end of the harbour to Captain Redrick on his boat and accept ‘The Missing Cargo'.
    296. Before we do Underhalls we are going to finish some White Sands Isle quests, head North to the canoe on the beach to enter White Sands Isle.
    297. Once in, head South following the water, killing all panthers and Picts for ‘Empty Reserves and ‘A Fishy Future'.
    298. Also loot the coconuts on the ground for ‘Empty Reserves'.
    299. Keep running South until you see some stairs on your left, run up them to discover hidden cove. There might also be some mushrooms here so pick what you find.
    300. Stay to your right and go up the stone path near the Mausoleum you should find the rest of your mushrooms here.
    301. There is also a chest here you can open with the key Turach gave you.
    302. Enter the mausoleum and kill a few Cadavers and loot them for Grave Invite.
    303. Head to the back to the right and bust down the cracked wall, behind the wall are pirates and spiced wine for Path of the Pirate.
    304. The eagle nests are kind of complicated to get to, you head South from the mausoleum, and you basically have to go all the way around the mountain to get behind it. Run through the wooden fence and past the Pict camp (we will do the Queen's Punishment quest later as it is quite difficult to solo) and keep following the path until you see Black one mobs… just click Feathers for Quills in your journal and it'll guide you there.
    305. Near here are some vines you can climb up and at the top are the eagle feathers for Feathers for Quills.
    306. Go to your right through the tree to the Mysterious House. Drop down to the bottom and slay the Flesh Eating Plant. Exit through the bottom window.
    307. The bottles for The Lost Bottles are on the South West beach, if you look on your map it looks like a nose jutting out from the island. There's some underwater as well, see the mini-map when you click the quest.
    308. While here kill Salt water Crocodiles for Tailored Tasks. They also drop gems for The Worshippers' Demise. If there are a lot of people here, run South along the beach there are crocs a ways down the coast. NOW you can kill the lower level crocs for this quest… I suggest farming the higher ones for better XP unless it's crowded.
    309. Click quest ‘Feeding the Hungry' in your journal and follow the ↑. The bone is in the fire in the middle of the camp so kill your way in, along with a Thrall mini boss (optional).
    310. Once you have them all, use POA to port back to the Inn. Make sure you have these quests completed.

    315. Sell/buy potions
    316. Run up to Laranga and turn in Den of No Return, go to Ninus and turn in the Lost Bottles.
    317. Run back to town and turn in the ‘Tailored Tasks to Sassan, along with Dry Times, Feathers for Quills, Grave Invite, The Worshiper's Demise and The Path of the Pirate.
    318. Leave The Mitra Clergy for now, for a lot of classes it is tough to solo at the moment..
    319. You should be really close to L18 now.

    348. First stop: Acheronian ruins, the quests here should be green to you now. Head West out the gate, then up the West path to the ruins (past Turach).
    349. Once in the ruins go down the ladder, once down the stairs head right and talk to Genzio for Caught in the Shadows.
    350. Run all the way back the way you came to the easy Picts, then up past the elder Shaman (stay to the far right so you don't get swarmed) spawning area SW to the very back and knock down the standing stones for Remains of a Bygone Age.
