    Default Character Select inaccurately showing hair/gear

    Does anyone else still have this problem where their male characters are missing their facial hair on the character selection screen? Some of my female toons aren't wearing the right gear either. I've changed their vanity gear or armor and it still shows what they used to have on.

    I can't remember which patch broke this (it was quite a while ago) and it's so irritating. Obviously it's a minor thing in the grand scheme of fixes but I would really like my characters to appear as they are supposed to on char select.
    Conqueror Mairenne ~ Guardian Isabetha ~ Dark Templar Adayna
    Ranger Annalici ~ Barbarian Cailannah ~ Assassin Kaidha
    Necromancer Laylesi, Stirmatka ~ Demonologist Mavash ~ Herald of Xotli Nebithet
    Priest of Mitra Siracus ~ Tempest of Set Millah ~ Bear Shaman Yasuyin

    The release of House of Crom cut our beards off.
    • Remove daily rewards and the raid finder;
    • remove membership bonuses;
    • disable PVE XP for daily challenges;
    • remove WBs forever on Crom;
    • slow down the AA gain;
    • lower the PVP XP gain or remove the streak system;
    • remove AoE looting;
    • add the missing mobs back to Khesh., F. of the Dead, and Eigl. Mount.;
    • fix the 250+ms ping;
    • take the key away from Saddur;
    • revert T3, T3.5 (10.21.15), T4 (10.21.15), and GGG changes;
    • remove energy and add skills (like taunt) back.

    You can fix your character profile screen not updating the gear by following this guide: http://aoc.requiemnex.com/

    It also has the side affect of fixing having to re-enter your password when you change characters - at least for a little while.

    Unfortunately it does not fix the facial hair incorrectly being shaved.

    I believe the problem is caused by settings files that get uploaded to Funcom growing more than 55KB roughly, and Funcom refusing to accept those auto-uploaded files. I've looked at some of the settings files for chat windows and noticed it keeps a log of some of your more recent conversations in there. That is why these setting files grow rapidly - and the more chat windows you have the more likely you'll run into the problem.
