Thread: Assassin Build thread

  1. #1

    Default Assassin Build thread

Hoping so start a new thread on these new international boards here are few builds. Let us see yours!

    Player versus Player

    Classic "Bomb" build (http://is.gd/ICwsBQ)
Probably more popular during 1.6 patch series this build strongly focuses on delivering massive detonation damage. This can be deadly versus under geared opponent.

    Avatar Hybrid/General (http://is.gd/qzFhOH )
While packing a little less punch than classic "bomb" build this variation brings supreme protection against knock backs making it deal choice for larger scale pvp such as minigames. With this build you can pretty much go entire 20 minutes of the minigame without being knocked back even once (rotating excellent balance and avatar).

    Lotus Hybrid/General [reverse hybrid(http://is.gd/2r68e5)
This build switches the focus of the end tree feats on Lotus side which results in slighly less physical resilience (due to loss of HP leech from avatar), but has an advantage of a superior anti CC abilities. With both Lotus Overdose and Excellent Balance running you are virtually immune to every CC in game.

    Tribrid (http://is.gd/ZPAZPT)
Some swear by "tribrid" builds as being the best for PVP. With this one you will lose some of the spike in damage, but gain access to more anti CC feats.

    Player versus Environment (solo)

Solo PVE Hybrid for Khitai (http://is.gd/x7u1TL)
This is perfect build for leveling up in Khitai. At first you will need Atrophy to "soften up" your opponents a little.

Solo PVE Hybrid for Khitai [advanced(http://is.gd/ICwsBQ)
As you get better gear your can switch to this build for faster killing. It is "bomb" build so it can be used for PVP as well. With avatar running and detonation and both DWW/GB you can leech absurd amount of health to out-live any mob in Khitai.

Solo PVE Hybrid for Khitai [kidney shots](http://is.gd/bLgRV4)
This is my current build. With maxed out AA tree and brittle blade set I have a lot of offhand so I have decided to further upgrade my build with offhand chance. I am using kidney shots to to stack them with other damage buffs to create...pretty much a ball of death. My combo is the following: kidney shots + avatar + liberation + gray lotus + path of enlightenment. With this I can survive absurd pulls or by pass intended game mechanic for solo bosses in hardmode/unchained versions of dugeons (like killing Accalia in her camp in DMH unchained).

    Player versus Environment (dungeons)

    Avatar Hybrid (http://is.gd/Y3tNJ7)
This is a build for longer fights and it provides both sustained damage and a nice spike. You need a good tank and gear/perks for this or you will over-aggro. Good build for clearing up dungeons that have trash mobs (like AOK).

    Tribrid (http://is.gd/40UDtb)
In this build you still get to keep some of the spike damage (DWW/GB) but your are getting a major upgrade to your anti aggro.

    Player versus Environment (raids)

Very nice work, Slith. You've pretty much covered all the options here. I'll have to doublecheck when I have a chance to get online, but I think I was running this build for PVE 6-mans and raids: http://goo.gl/yUcwk

The SS and Sins of Flesh focus. Seen few of those. Would take if I didn't have COD taking up SOF slot.

Even without SOTF, I felt the buff to SS isn't bad, since it's in the rotation fairly regularly. Then again, I don't get many raids on the sin anymore (or anything these days), so I'm not sure I've got it right.

I like that build. Might give it a go.
I tried this today for the General in T4. http://goo.gl/VGhkK
I need some CCs since i am on door duty. And since there is no magic i didn't go for any protection. Seemed to do pretty ok on the adds.

Still not comfy in my T4s yet as we as alliance are still breaking in to it. Need to find a feel myself for what works for me in there.

I prefer using this (in raids, groups and solo): http://goo.gl/oblkb . Less aggro than the one posted as Raid specc (bomb bursts tend to pull aggro, dots seem to be easier to hold).

Why Atrophy you may ask? Well, it works on trashmobs (and in t3.5/t4 they hit pretty hard), the combo is quick and does some nice amounts of dmg. Not speccing the fear is mostly because I dislike feared mobs

    Default pve specs

i have to agree that i find the raid specs not so nice.

first of all a rouge in raids shud provide the minus hate buff to grp, acculy the only reason to bring a rouge at all exept fh and tw in t4.

2 there are very few areas where u as a sin get aoe damage that crits so speccing LO i find little irrelevant. dull pain can be handy many places. just like the charge(encounters where u move alot) and kb, more cc u wont need.

3 i find also in certain figths avatar handy like entity where u can keep nuking doe to the leach, but its alot of points so more spread feats will give u more dps.

    http://aocfeats.com/feat/sin/1222716...9400691a4694c6

must say that my sin exp is very small, but all my statements are build from advices from very exp ppl.

one other point, cheat the reaper is also something worth speccing.
spirit of nigthfall is not worth it. from this spec along with cover of dusk u gain all the hate degrease u will need. if not its a tank issue or ure bursting at wrong times.

I use these depending on encounter in t4

http://goo.gl/Rc6hx (Good all round in t4)

http://goo.gl/YA5Uv (Running this where i don't need any cc's/Survival feats)

    http://goo.gl/a9Xqf (Entity)

To comment a bit on above post:
    I disagree on some points.
Spirit of nightfall is very good anti agro ability and deserves the points as it's both a good ability and a passive decrease. And you don't need all rogues in a raid to bring in distraction from general. At least for end game raids/gear.As far as i know it goes far better in barb/ranger feat speccs and by going for it with sin if you are playing with good tanks is taking your dps back a lot.Yes it is still good enough but not great.
