It has taken a little longer than we might have liked, but the Dreamworld Technology update is now almost ready for the live servers. We are now provisionally aiming for a release to the live servers on the 1st or 2nd of March, pending the final testing of course.

In addition to the upcoming solo instances that we discussed in last month's development update , there are also a series of significant changes incoming to the way that faction progression works in Khitai. This was an area where we have listened carefully to all the feedback, and agree that there was ultimately too much of a disparity between the rate of progression prior to Khitai, and that in the expansion areas, in particular when looking at people who wish to also advance their alt characters. To this end we have been overhauling the way that the quests and faction rewards are structured to significantly increase the rate at which people can gain faction, balance out the factions so that each faction progresses at roughly the same speed, and generally ensure that things don't feel like a 'grind'.
The game director has been talking about these changes in this thread and there will be more details once the changes move to the test server not long after the Dreamworld Integration is live.
