Community Update - 22nd October

Seasonal Event

The Nights of Lost Souls are upon us! From today until the 2nd of November two solos quests and an additional team quest await you including some macabre and brand new social item rewards. To get started in the seasonal event, just type /claim in-game to receive a "Partially Translated Page". Using that item will get you the first quest including a riddled hint on where to find the "Emissary of Suffering".

You can read more about the ‘Nights of Lost Souls’ in this article.

Please note that there is a known issue with the seasonal event quest "Souls of the Damned". This quest leads players to the Oasis of Zaara. There is a known issue that players are not allowed to enter the Oasis (the error message is "This entrance is only available with the appropriate quest.") We are working on a solution to this. As a workaround, players have to accept any other quest related to the Oasis of Zaara which are available from NPCs close to the entrance. With that, players can enter the Oasis and continue the "Souls of the Damned" quest.

Update next week

To fix the quest issue mentioned above, and clear up a couple of additional, we plan to have a small update next week in the 2.0.x series.

2.1 Testing Incoming…

Following to that the first versions of 2.1 should get available on the test servers very shortly. The internal testing is in its final stages now. We will keep you up to date about the current status as soon as there is new information. We are aware that preparing for this cycle has taken longer than your average update cycle due to the technical integrations, and we are hard at work getting the version ready for the public testing. We hope it is possible to start public testing over the next week, but it may be the week after.

Given there have been quite a few questions about the engine parts of the new Dreamworld integration, we have asked the technical folk to give a little more insight into exactly what has been going on behind the scenes and that will form part of this month’s developer update which you can expect to see next week.
