I think, as someone mentioned earlier in the thread, whether you believe there is enough 'mature' or 'adult' content in the game depends entirely on your subjective interpretation of what those terms mean.

We do believe we have made a mature game that is very much in keeping with the original REH texts. It's not just about the brutal violence and scantily (or not) clad women (and those are exactly where we are allowed to be for an 'M' rated game), it's about the themes and background of the world, and that was what we were always aiming for.

To be clear, even from the very start, Age of Conan was never intended to be a game that would end up with an 'Adults Only (AO)' rating. That is simply not commercially viable for what we wanted to bring to the market. So if 'adult' or 'mature' to you means lots of explicit sexual content, then no, Age of Conan isn't going to meet your personal definition of 'mature'.

However I do think the themes that come out through the quests and dialog that the team have written is very adult and does tackle some mature subjects really well. I think the folk here have done a fine job in that regard and we will continue to do so. There is not a question of us 'toning down' our approach, because we are still holding true to the approach we have had since the very start of the project.

((This is exactly the same conversion I remember having as the games community manager many moons ago ))
